Program Highlights

Graduates of ºÚÁϳԹÏ꿉۪s International Business program develop a strong foundation in global business strategy, cross-cultural management, and international markets. Through internationally focused coursework that blends business disciplines with a broad understanding of global economic, political, and cultural forces, you’ll gain the perspective needed to navigate today’s interconnected business environment.

ºÚÁϳԹÏ꿉۪s International Business program is one of the few in the country that combines the breadth of international business with the depth of a specialized business concentration. By pairing your international business studies with a concentration in areas such as finance, marketing, supply chain management, or information systems, you’ll graduate with both a global mindset and expertise in a functional business discipline.

Experiential learning is at the heart of the program. During your senior year, you’ll work as a consultant on a real-world international business challenge, partnering with a regional or multinational organization to deliver strategic recommendations. You’ll also expand your global perspective through study abroad and international internship opportunities that provide firsthand experience working across cultures, markets, and business environments.

Study Abroad

The IB semester abroad is a defining experience of ºÚÁϳԹÏ꿉۪s International Business program. During their junior year, students spend a semester studying and interning abroad, applying classroom knowledge in an international setting while gaining valuable professional and cultural experience.

The semester begins with a faculty-led program that explores local organizations, business practices, and emerging global trends through the lens of the host country. By living, learning, and working abroad, students develop the adaptability, cultural awareness, and global perspective that employers increasingly seek in today’s interconnected economy. Students may choose to live on campus or with a host family, creating opportunities for deeper engagement with the local community and culture.

Learn by Doing

Lessons from a textbook can only take you so far. That’s why experiential learning is at the core of your ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø experience. You’ll engage in hands-on projects and opportunities beginning your very first year — building skills in critical thinking, learning how to adapt to challenges, and fostering your determination to succeed.

Find Your Minor

By complementing your business major with a minor in the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences or the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, you’ll learn how to assess problems from different perspectives and find creative solutions to today’s biggest challenges. Our interdisciplinary approach is a strength that leads to extraordinary career outcomes and lifetime earnings.
